The American Board of Certified Gemologists is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality of diamond and gemstone grading, appraisal and certification. Please however be advised that the procedure of grading diamonds is not an exact science and is highly subjective. The results of a grading or appraisal can vary due to the gemologist, the equipment used for the grading or appraisal or even the time, conditions and location of the grading or appraisal. Many erroneous factors can affect the results of a grading or appraisal. This is why grading and appraisals are done according to a scale. It is never the intention of ABCG to incorrectly grade or appraise a diamond or gemstone. We never falsify or arbitrarily round or exaggerate grades for the purpose of increasing the quality of a diamond or gemstone. As an independent third party, ABCG goes not stand to gain from grade inflation. All grades and appraisal results are strictly the subjective and professional opinion of the gemologist who graded the diamond or gemstone according to his or her training and technique as well as the conditions and equipment used at the time of the appraisal. The American Board of Certified Gemologists is not to be held liable for any discrepancy on the grade or appraisal results of any diamond or gemstone. Should you seek a different opinion, it is your responsibility to accept any quality or monetary differences between the reports. Should you find that the diamond or gemstone you received is not in accordance with the issued report; ABCG is not to be held liable.
